Pray for the Adult Ministry Team from our church that is ministering in Monterrey, Mexico, (August 21-28) alongside Matt & Susan Bixby.

The September/October prayer booklet is being revised and updated. Please update your requests or add new ones by calling the church office, emailing prayerupdate@intercity.org, or completing a form at the information center. The deadline to submit requests is noon on Friday, August 27.
ELP Opportunity: Several people from the Freedom House are coming for a soccer activity in the IC gym two Saturday nights each month. Besides the men playing, others come to watch and would like to have conversations with English speaking IC members. If you are interested in becoming an English Language Partner, see Doug Moseley or Nancy McNamara. The dates for the next few soccer activities: August 28 and September 11.
On Sunday mornings, September 12 – October 10, from 9:30-10:10, we will be hosting a Newcomers’ Class for any teens and adults who are interested in joining ICBC as members, or for anyone new to our church who is interested in learning more of what ICBC is all about. Taking the class is necessary to become a church member, but taking the class does not obligate you to join the church. Stop by the information center to sign up.
The fall semester of the Inter-City Baptist Bible Institute will begin on Monday, September 13. Registration forms are available at the information center. The following four classes will be offered this fall:

The Women of the Word Bible study will begin again on September 14 at 9:00 a.m. Please consider joining us as we study the amazing spread of the gospel in the second half of Acts. In addition to studying God's Word, we enjoy small group fellowship, prayer for one another and our missionary wives, Scripture memory, and encouraging interaction with women young and old. An excellent nursery and children's program is provided. Please sign up at the information center today and pick up your materials there!
This year’s Men’s Retreat will be September 24 & 25 at Covenant Hills Camp located near Flint, MI. The speaker will be Jim Newcomer, associate pastor at Colonial Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA. Brochures are available at the information center.
